The 2023 Grecante is a total pleasure on the nose, displaying crushed rocks, dusty dried flowers, vividly fresh pears and yellow apples. This opens with a pleasant inner sweetness matched by crisp orchard fruits and hints of sweet spice. Brisk acidity maintains fantastic balance and presence as the 2023 tapers off with a subtle tug of crunchy tannin and a lemony concentration that slowly fades. Of note, there was a 40% reduction in quantity in 2023 due to the onset of peronospora in the spring. Drinking Window 2024-2029.
